Do the travelers have to meet COVID-related requirements for entry?
To enter Nepal by air or land, travelers must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, with the last recommended dose received at least 14 days before arrival. No booster dose is necessary, and travelers must carry their official vaccination certificate for immediate presentation to Nepalese officials. Children under 5 years of age are exempt from this requirement. Those who are unable to provide a vaccination certificate must obtain a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours before departure. On-arrival visas are available to all travelers, regardless of vaccination status. However, these requirements are subject to change, so travelers should continue to monitor local media and
official government channels for updates.

Is quarantine mandatory for travellers?

Quarantine is not required for travellers, regardless of vaccination status. However, individuals who test positive for COVID-19 upon arrival may not be allowed to enter Nepal.

Is COVID-19 testing available in Nepal for foreigners?

PCR and/or antigen tests are available, and results are typically available within 48 hours (most within 24 hours if expedited). Testing must be paid for by the individual, unless local laws exempt testing fees. Testing is available at several designated government hospitals, and physical evidence of test results is available in paper form.

Are COVID-19 vaccines available for foreigners in Nepal?
